In response to demand, Grand American Adventures, specialists in North American small group tours, has announced one further trip for people to take in the natural spectacle of the 2017 total solar eclipse.
The Deep South Solar Eclipse, from £2,439 tour only, departs Atlanta on 11thAugust for 12 days tracing the roots of American music, experiencing the cultural landscape and history of the Deep South that gave birth to the blues, jazz and rock ‘n’ roll. Visiting New Orleans, Memphis, Elvis’ birthplace at Tupelo and Nashville, where on 21st August the tour leader will ensure best position to take in the rare celestial wonder of a total eclipse of the sun.
All participants will be provided with equipment for safe viewing and Grand American Adventures’ knowledgeable and experienced tour leaders will have all the means at hand, including the latest weather reports and tracking info as well as private vehicle to seek the centre line of the eclipse track.
The total solar eclipse on 21 August 2017 will be the first total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States since 1979.
