From November 2017 to March 2018, the Balearic Islands saw a 24.91% increase in visitors from the UK compared to the previous year, highlighting a growing appetite for travel to the islands outside of the peak season.

The increase in visitors during the shoulder season stands in line with the Balearic Islands Tourism Board’s tourism strategy, which aims to promote travel to the islands during the winter months.

The ‘Better in Winter’ strategy places emphasis on the advantages of travelling to the islands of Menorca, Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera promotes the region as more than just a sea and sun destination.
