Delta Air Lines will operate its longest ever season from Glasgow to New York-JFK in summer 2019, with a daily service during the peak travel months, adding more than 5,000 extra seats in each direction.

The US airline will re-start its flights, which are operated in conjunction with Virgin Atlantic, on 24th May and run for an additional seven weeks next year, ending on 26th October. It will be Delta’s third season to Glasgow. The carrier has scheduled a Boeing 757-200 aircraft on the route, which has 167 seats, including 15 flat-beds in the Delta One business class cabin.

Delta and Virgin Atlantic operate the a trans-Atlantic partnership between Scotland and the United States offering up to 17 flights per week.
